Water features can lose water or perform poorly for many reasons. Sometimes it is normal evaporation. Sometimes it is splash loss. Sometimes the liner edge has settled. Sometimes water is wicking over the edge through soil, mulch, roots, or rock. Sometimes the pump, plumbing, filtration, or basin capacity is not matched correctly to the feature.
A diagnostic visit helps separate guessing from reality.

What the Diagnostic Visit Includes
During the visit, I will inspect the water feature and look for the most likely causes of the issue. Depending on the feature, this may include checking the water level behavior, pump flow, liner edges, waterfall and stream paths, splash patterns, basin capacity, visible plumbing areas, filtration setup, and overall construction details.
After the inspection, I will explain what I find in plain English and give you practical options.

Diagnostic visits start at $350.
This is more than a quick estimate or sales visit. The purpose is to determine why the feature is losing water, performing poorly, or not working correctly and to identify the most practical path toward fixing it.
The visit includes an onsite inspection of the water feature, troubleshooting of the likely problem areas, and an explanation of what I find along with recommended next steps.
For larger or more complicated water features, written diagnostic reports and repair plans are also available. These may include photos, likely causes, repair priorities, and recommended solutions.
If repair work is recommended, I will explain the options and costs before any additional work is performed.
